President's Letter
Dear Members and Friends of NYABE,
On behalf of the New York chapter of the National Association for Business Economics I welcome you to join us for an exciting 2025-2026 program year. NYABE is a non-profit organization that is one of the preeminent forums for economists to gather in discussion of current issues impacting the U.S. and global economy.
The organization consists of practicing, retired, and student economists spanning a range of educational, governmental, not-for-profit organizations, and financial firms. We strive to attract some of the world's outstanding economists as speakers.
Recent speakers have included New York Federal Reserve Bank President John C. Williams, Richmond Federal Reserve Bank President Thomas Barkin, Professor Jason Furman of Harvard University, and trade expert Chad Bown of the Peterson Institute for International Economics.
Starting with former Chairman of the Federal Reserve Paul Volcker in 1973, and stretching to the 78th U.S. Secretary of State, the Honorable Janet Yellen, the William F. Butler Award is presented annually to a distinguished business economist to honor leadership in the field of business economics.
This year, on September 17, we are honored to present this award to William C. Dudley, President and CEO of the Griswold Center for Economic Policy Studies at Princeton University and former New York Federal Reserve Bank President. Please join us for this special luncheon!
Please take a moment to become a member or renew your membership!
Warm regards,
E. Tani Fukui
NYABE President, 2025-2026
